Jason Heyward Fantasy Baseball Projection

Jason Heyward is already drawing comparisons to legendary to Alex Rodriguez, Albert Pujols, and former Braves star Fred McGriff. Heyward is rated by many scouts as the top prospect in baseball, five-tool player, and future all-star player, but can he make a difference for my fantasy baseball team this season? The answer is yes, probably, maybe.

Bobby Cox is in his last season as Atlanta Braves Manager, and conventional wisdom is that he will rush Jason Heyward to the big leagues, to make another run at a World Series title. If Heyward’s minor league career stats are any indication, he could be a sleeper pick this season or even go as an undrafted free agent pick up. Heyward hit a robust .323 with 17 home runs and 63 rbi last in 99 games last season.

Prediction: Jason Heyward bats 275 with 19 home runs and 75 rbi this season for the Atlanta Braves. If you are in a keeper league he is definitely worth selecting much earlier in the draft, so you can take advantage of his unlimited potential in future seasons.
